Pastor Sergey is one of the leading pastors in Russia when it comes to ministering to prisons. He is the pastor of Losinka Baptist Church in Moscow and heads a team of Chaplains, mostly former inmates who came to Christ while in prison, that fan out over all of Russia to share Christ with prisoners.

Pastor Sergey (born Feb 10, 1957) was once in prison himself. In his early 20’s he was convicted of robbery and was released in 1981. While in his prison cell he asked the Lord to come into his life and save him.

Upon his release he began working as a lathe operator and started attending the church he now pastors. At work he rose to foreman in the factory where he worked, and he became a deacon in his church in 1989, a full-time assistant in 1991 and pastor in 1994. He began working with EEO in 1993.

In addition to being a pastor he is Coordinator of the prison ministry in Russia at the Russian Union of ECB (Evangelical Christians Baptists) and a member of the All-Russian  Trustee Board of the criminal executive system.

Pastor Sergey and his wife Nina have two children, Olga (13) and Sveta (9). Nina works as a nurse to help support the family.
