Sergey Danilenko

SergeyDanilenkoPastor Sergey is one of the leading pastors in Russia when it comes to ministering to prisons. He is the pastor of Losinka Baptist Church in Moscow and heads a team of Chaplains, mostly former inmates who came to Christ while in prison, that fan out over all of Russia to share Christ with prisoners.

Pastor Sergey (born Feb 10, 1957) was once in prison himself. In his early 20’s he was convicted of robbery and was released in 1981. While in his prison cell he asked the Lord to come into his life and save him.

Igor Khodatayev
IgorKhodatayevChaplain Igor is a 41 year old (born Oct 8, 1964) former inmate who is the Coordinator of an important prison ministry in Perm, a major maximum security prison in Central Russia.

He has a special interest in ministering to women, who are very often especially hardened prisoners. He team regularly visits the White Swan Prison for women in Solikamsk, and he reports that the Lord has been blessing their efforts and there is now a regular Bible study being held there.

Andrei Galkin
AndrevGalkinAndrei Galkin and his wife Oksana, have two daughters, Ksenia and Aliona. Andrei holds weekly services in both boys and girls youth prisons in the Moscow area. He is also in charge distributing Christian books supplied by EEO to other prison ministers who in turn give them to prisoners. He also makes special trips throughout Russia to share the Gospel with inmates.

Andrei played an important role in the recent “Great Expedition,” an evangelistic outreach to share the Gospel with inmates in 600 different prisons in Russia over the course of a year. The team he led covered over 4,000 miles in the remote Tyumen-Tomsk-Kemerovo region.

More recently he has reported how a multiple murderer came to Christ during a preaching campaign in the central region of Russia. Andrei is based out of a local church in Moscow, he is an ex-prisoner himself, and he has a large and fruitful ministry in Russian prisons.

Alexander Cherednichenko

AlexanderCherednichenkoAlexander “Sasha” Cherednichenko is a dedicated Christian worker that has a true servant’s heart. He lives with his wife Luba and four children in the small village of Urozhainoe in Southern Russia and ministers in prisons throughout that region.

Like most of the EEO Chaplains, Sasha (born April 5, 1954) came out of a life of crime. He first went to prison for assault and robbery in 1968. Upon release he became a career criminal and ended up in prison several times after that. In 1976 he was sentenced to death for murder, but six years later the sentence was reduced to 15 years in a maximum security facility. Nevertheless, the remission of his death sentence did not change Sasha’s attitude. He had 3 years added to his sentence for attacking guards.
