Missionaries To Social Orphans

The Shamray family is another one of EEO's strong Christian families who is reaching out to the abandoned children of Ukraine. There are twelve children in this home, only one of which is their own. The parents are strong believers and raise the children according to the Word of God.

The solution to the "social orphan" crisis in Ukraine and Russia is for loving families in those countries to step up and care for these needy children. This is why EEO is emphasizing our "Family Initiative".

The Shamray family is thankful for the support they receive in the EEO Foster Family sponsorship program. In 2006 the Ukrainian government did not fund the "family orphanages" which they allowed under a new law. Today, families like the Shamray's do receive some government support or else they would have to give the children back. 

EEO is seeking sponsors for Christian families like the Shamrays who are "answering the call" and reaching out to the needy children in their area. They do not consider themselves special, they simply are grateful for any help they receive, whether from the government or from EEO sponsors. Support is used for daily needs such as groceries, heating, electricity and clothing for their 12 children. 

Prayer Requests:
1. Winter is coming and heating the government provided home now costs $300-$400 per month.

2. Pray for their special needs children who have experienced trauma and abuse.
3. Pray that their children will learn of God's love and walk with Him.
