10 Children Call It Home

The Burdyuzhenko family opened their home to be a family-type orphanage several years ago. Their heart's desire was to reach out to the abandoned children in their area, a very small town about 60 miles from Kiev.

The local police immediately brought five children from the street to them, and later brought four more. There is a total of ten children, one of whom is their own.

This family did not "choose" any of the children, and simply received each one as an indication of God's will for them to care for. A Mission organization in England has helped purchase a house for them, but it is in need of many repairs which of course requires support. 

The government gave them one van for four orphanages to share, but didn't provide any means for buying diesel fuel, oil, or spare parts. They are a loving family who are doing their best with the few resources that they receive. They are fulfilling the Great Commission to the abandoned "social orphans" of Ukraine.

Prayer Requests:

1. Providing gas and electricity for the house is vitally important, but too expensive for this family to afford. They almost constantly in debt as a result of their bills.

2. Clothing for the children.

3. Wisdom in raising teenagers.

4. Future education and places for the kids to live after they leave the family.
