Viktor and Lubov Khutorny have lived in Kiev all of their lives. Before they took in their first foster child, they had two boys of their own. Lubov couldn’t have more children, but she wanted to have a girl. So in 2002, they adopted a girl. Both Viktor and Lubov come from big families and also wanted to have many children themselves. So they took one more child into the family.

After coming to Christ, Oleksandr and Liliana were blessed by a church where serving orphans was promoted. Both of them wanted to bless many children, but didn’t know how. They started their ministry in 1994, by taking in a girl who currently lives and studies in another city, but often comes to visit.

Valeriy and Zhanna Yurchenko came to Christ in 1996. Before becoming foster parents, Valeriy was a deacon responsible for preaching, mercy ministries and church administration. The father of four also worked full time, making it difficult to spend the desired amount of time with his family. He was in the ministry for three years when he asked God, “Is all this from You or from my flesh?” He felt that he was called to something greater and began praying for God’s will with Zhanna.

Simferopol, Ukraine - The Semenchkov family has taken in 11 abandoned children. They are one of 10 Foster Families in Ukraine in need of finding sponsors for their brood of active orphans.
In the Cherkassy region the Perepelitsa family have established three foster families and have themselves rescued 24 children. Other EEO families have over 10 children each ... and their stories are heart breaking.

Nelli Puts Her Trust In The Lord
Nelli Poplavskyi is a strong Ukrainian woman who loves God and loves children. She is a single mother whose husband left long ago, yet she perseveres in providing a warm and caring home for abandoned children.
This family is called a family-type orphanage which allows her to receive government support in addition to help from EEO sponsors.
There are 9 children in the family, one of whom is her own. She also has a grown up daughter and her two children living with her.

A Legacy of Serving Christ
Eduard and Olga Perepelitsa are loving Christian parents of six young abandoned children. And they are not finished. They hope to add another child in the near future.
Eduard's father is pastor Anatoliy. They are dedicated believers and all attend church regularly. The children were brought to them by the local authorities and they have gladly opened their hearts and home for these "social orphans."

10 Children Call It Home
The Burdyuzhenko family opened their home to be a family-type orphanage several years ago. Their heart's desire was to reach out to the abandoned children in their area, a very small town about 60 miles from Kiev.
The local police immediately brought five children from the street to them, and later brought four more. There is a total of ten children, one of whom is their own.

Dad Abandoned The Family
Viktoria Kravchenko is a strong woman who is a living example of Christ's love for children. She is currently raising 10 children . . . alone.
Mr. Kravchenko abandoned the family and now Viktoria is doing her best to provide a loving home for the 10 children assigned to her by the local government.
She never expected to run this "family-type orphanage" alone. After her husband left, however, she could not turn away the children.

The Abaev's Take In 8 Children
The Abaev family is providing a loving home for eight children whom the government calls "social orphans."
A social orphan is a child who has at least one parent, but whose parental rights have been revoked and they are now legally raised by the State. This is a terrible predicament for a child, though often much better than the abusive situation they faced at home.
There are ten children in the family, two of whom are their own.

Missionaries To Social Orphans
The Shamray family is another one of EEO's strong Christian families who is reaching out to the abandoned children of Ukraine. There are twelve children in this home, only one of which is their own. The parents are strong believers and raise the children according to the Word of God.
The solution to the "social orphan" crisis in Ukraine and Russia is for loving families in those countries to step up and care for these needy children. This is why EEO is emphasizing our "Family Initiative".

Abandoned Children Are Their Missionfield
Petro and Iryna Tsybulskyi are very loving parents and provide a bright, happy home for their 7 foster children and four biological children. All but two of the children were brought to them by the local authorities.
The Tsybulskyi family are believers, and they are reaching out to the needy children in their area who are without parents and without a home. We are amazed at their heart of compassion.
