Lera (short for Valeria) is 20 years old now. She is a student at the European University in the eastern Ukraine town of Konotop. Valeria suffers from an emotional / mental disability brought on by a medical accident as a young girl.
She is sweet and kind and lives with her mother. In her free time Valeria likes to read books and do crafts.In spite of Lera`s health problems with central nervous system, she is very active in ministry at her local Christian church. She is an active church member. Valeria's mother is a coordinator for EEO, working part time in her town to help other children and their families. Lera also volunteers with her mother working at the Hearts Of Love Center for special needs children started by her mother and supported by EEO. Lera helps her mother while working with kids at this program. She has actively brought friends from her university to come help as they serve needy children. The two of them live in a small three-room house. The father left many years ago and they don't know where he is.
