For needy families and children in Ukraine, the support of a sponsor is vital to their survival as a family. Mothers do not give their children up to an orphanage in despair, simply due to the love and support of having a sponsor. In this newsletter we learn about Luba's story. Hope Remains - Sloshing through the muddy snow covered road, it felt surreal, like a scene from the Boris Pasternak novel, “Dr. Zhivago.” 

05-10NLkitchen.jpgThe small, weather-beaten wooden home looked like it could be 100 years old.  In years gone by, the faded blue paint had brightened up the entrance, but now it only looked dirty and depressing. Entering the home of Luba and her six children is a shock. The despair is tangible. The smell overwhelms you and the kitchen is caked in dirt. Dirty pots and crusty pans are stacked on the counter, there is no running water. Luba, however, comes out the door to welcome us with a warm smile.....read more
