Former Prisoners Now Missionaries To Prisons

The EEO ministry to Russian prisons continues through the sponsorship of faithful men who suffer hardship to evangelize in over 100 prisons across Russia. Russian national missionaries carry the torch of the gospel today across Siberia, the Urals, the Far East, and the Caucasus region of the Russian Federation.

Former Prisoners Now Serving Christ

Most EEO national missionaries are ex-prisoners themselves -- men who really understand the mentality of the prisoner. They are men who have "been there" and who can minister the truth of Christ in the dark and depressing environment of prison.

These women prisoners huddle together indoors, in winter, to come hear the gospel in their prison. God has given EEO national missionaries favor with prison authorities.

National missionaries do not need much to be effective in their ministry. They go where foreigners are not allowed. They are bringing the gospel to the unreached people group of prisoners, locked away in far flung areas languishing in lonlieness and despair. Many wait for help, working side jobs to feed their families, while continuing to share Christ in difficult conditions. 

Sponsorship - A Great Investment
Faithful national missionaries are truly a great investment of our missions giving. Only $30 per month provides the support these men need. EEO will provide each man with 6-7 sponsors so as to provide enough support for their travel needs and expenses. 

The basic sponsorship for one man and his family is $150-$200 per month. Sponsorship funds allow missionaries to reach areas our teams could never reach. They toil in villages and prisons for the Lord. In light of the visa difficulties foreign missionaries are having in Russia, support of nationals is much more than an opportunity -- it is a vital and necessary strategic move.
