Anna Gets New Wheels For Her Ride
Yoshkar-ola, Mari-el, Russia - Anna Illina has a bright smile, a joyful heart, and is handicapped.
Her example of overcoming hardship is amazing. She is a beautiful ethnic "Mari"girl, and used to be one of the best athletes in her region.
She was only 20, when being given a lift on a bicycle, they were in an accident and Anna became a paraplegic. She cannot walk, but her faith sustained her in those dark times.

"I don't know how I made it through those times," she said, "but I think the Lord was with me."
She cried a lot, but found faith to continue her life. She got married, she gave a birth to a wonderful child, and she has a very happy family.Pictured is Anna and her husband before the birth of their first child.
Anna does not ask questions such as "Why did this happen to me?" She participates in all church activities she can, and she encourages the healthy members of her small Lutheran church planted in this region just by her courage and most beautiful smile.
When you see the inspiration that Anna is, then it seems your own reasons for feeling down or sad just fade away. Anna lives by faith and her faith is great!
Your prayers and support of EEO's ministry to the handicapped are important to people like Anna. Consider how you can support the handicapped.
